about me!

Hi there, I’m Cass – an ex-office worker now devoted to travel and pets. Welcome to my blog, Furrtrekker!

I’m Cassandra Fan, the founder of Furrtrekker. As a proud fur parent to 4 cats and 3 dogs, I’ve loved animals my whole life and adore traveling the world with my furry fam.

How I Started Traveling

I left my 9-to-5 job to pursue my dream of traveling the world with my pets…

They’re family to me, and I want us to explore amazing destinations together.

Trading my desk for travel opportunities was the best decision ever!

I fell head over heels for creating pet-friendly travel content and for travel itself.

what my blog offers

I write guides about dog-friendly destinations and experiences.

I’m known for keeping it real with helpful, honest tips – sharing both the good and the not-so-good parts of pet travel.

I don’t take myself too seriously either and try to keep things fun!

If you want transparent recommendations from a seasoned pet traveler – I’ve got you covered.

I’m most active on Instagram, where I give regular peeks into my adventures – follow me @furrtrekker to join the pack!

xx Cass

Furrtrekker FAQs

I take all my shots with OM-5. It captures scenes very well while I’m on the move.

I tend to shop at outdoor stores like REI or Backcountry.com. They have good quality packs and tents for adventures.

You can often find good deals on cameras and accessories there too.

If you’re interested in starting a travel blog, I say go for it! It’s a super rewarding hobby.

Just get hosting, use WordPress, and begin writing posts about your trips. I’m happy to provide blogging tips to newbies!

There’s potential to earn income with sites like mine. But building an audience takes time. You need a passion for travel to keep producing content.

The hardest part is finding your niche – figure out what you’re most passionate about, whether it’s budget trips, luxury hotels, food, etc.

That helps attract readers who are into the same stuff.

With so many out there, choose a unique slice like family travel or budget backpacking.

Then target useful advice to readers interested in that specific niche.
